When people try and make “jokes” about vegans or veganism, it just screams to me “I find your lifestyle intimidating because it highlights all the ethical problems in my lifestyle. You speaking out about not killing, reminds me that I do. And I am uncomfortable with that. But I’m too selfish to change. So instead, I will make a really lame joke. And all the other meat eaters who also feel uncomfortable for the same reasons will laugh, because using humour to dilate an uncomfortable situation is reassuring.”

Or all them bloodmouths are tired of every pretentious vegan who proselytizes to them about their diet.
